This policy alerts the security administrator that the ITA SNMP Trap Collector Service has abruptly terminated. With the SNMP Collector service installed, Intruder Alert serves as a SNMP Manager, giving it additional functionality and the ability to monitor network devices through SNMP Trap reporting. Description

This policy monitors the SNMP Trap Collector Service. If the SNMP Trap Collector abruptly terminates, this policy will alarm. Without the SNMP Trap Collector running, ITA cannot monitor other network devices through SNMP Trap reporting.
